Elavon is currently seeking a Commercial Product Manager to directly oversee the strategic go-to-market and commercial activities for an assigned product line(s) in support of the organization s goals and market needs within North America. Responsible for meeting product profit and growth goals. Oversees the evaluation of market trends, product development, product position and pricing philosophy. Recommends enhancements to product line(s) to drive retention, sales and usage in order to meet objectives.
Develops marketing plan and product line objectives, including strategy and tactics; ensuring consistency with organization and business line objectives and goals and meeting product, profit and growth goals.
Leads the go-to-market team and successful launch of new products, features and functions across key organization groups and into distribution channels to ensure alignment and readiness, enable sales and drive revenue.
Prepares the commercial delivery product roadmap and maintains project plan and status reports.
Evaluates the development of product pricing and profitability analysis and recommends pricing.
Manages the development and maintenance of competitive analysis and market research of competing products and services to identify customer needs and trends.
Manages the ongoing research to track, monitor and analyze product performance, profitability and contribution.
Oversees the development of collateral marketing, promotional programs and campaigns, sales training and resources, operational procedures and systems requirements to ensure that cross functional departments are go-to-market ready.
Plans, develops and controls project and product budget.
Coordinates with partners and customers on integration efforts, enhancements, communications and other change initiatives.
Measures key performance indicator (KPI) outcomes in terms of Voice of Customer, Voice of Sales, sales units, dollar volume, margin, overall revenue, plus customer activations, retention and others as determined to measure success.
Proactively identifies improvement opportunities across the customer lifecycle (application, boarding, activation, processing and retention) and interprets how these improvements can be effected through changes to organizational levers (e.g. product design, process improvement, pricing, packages, promotional activity).
Prioritizes and drives these improvement opportunities, measures outcomes and continuously improves the overall product and processes that support it.
Strong product and project management skills. Strong knowledge of product/program development, pricing, implementation and strategic analysis. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated marketing and market research skills. Thorough knowledge of operations, products and services within assigned area as well as competitive market. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Strong financial and PC skills. Typically requires a bachelor s degree or equivalent with a minimum of eight to ten years related experience.
