Piper Companies is currently looking for a Hadoop/Cloudera Engineer to support our client in Tysons Corner, Va. This person would be responsible to help increase efficiencies and utilization of data in a cross-organizational way, for many business and technology purposes. S/he will have strong development skills for data ingestion, data management and data consumption on Cloudera.
Responsibilities of the Hadoop/Cloudera Engineer:
Design and build solutions using data warehouse/data analytics solutions and technologies, especially ETL tools such as Ab Initio, Informatica, Cloudera
Perform design and development activities, technical documentation, system performance support, and internal customer support.
work with Data Analysts, Solution Architects and other Data Engineers to design and implement robust data pipelines that solve important business problems
Requirements of the Hadoop/Cloudera Engineer:
Advanced Level experience (7+ years) in Hadoop, Yarn, HDFS, MapReduce, Sqoop, Oozie , Hive, Spark and other related Big Data technologies
Advanced experience in Hadoop/Spark/hive parameters for optimal performance by tuning
Experience with SQL and at least one major RDBMS (Oracle, DB2 etc.)
Expert knowledge with shell scripting
Ability to have high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices, ability to write reusable code components.
Compensation for the Hadoop/Cloudera Engineer:
Target Salary $120,000 - $130,000
