Northrop Grumman Space Systems hasan opening for a Consultant Modeling and Simulation Analyst, to join our teamof qualified, diverse individuals. This position will report to the Director ofSpace Systems Sector Modeling and Simulation. This position is based in theDulles, Virginia area, but remote operation from a major Northrop Grummanfacility with travel to Dulles, VA, approximately one week per month will be considered.

Rolesand Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for modeling andsimulation integration across the five divisions within Northrop Grumman’sSpace Sector.
  • Developing modeling and simulationcapabilities to support sector-level future concepts.
  • Developing models to supportcorporate cross-domain modeling and simulation activities.
  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • 20 years ofexperience within space programs spanning system engineering architecture,requirements development, design, verification & test, and/or missionoperations
  • Modeling and simulation experienceacross at least two of the following space engineering disciplines:
  • RF payloads
  • EO/IR payloads
  • Narrow and wide-band communications
  • Data distribution and faultmanagement
  • Space vehicle guidance, navigationand control:
  • Attitude and ephemeris determination
  • Attitude slew and trackingkinematics and closed-loop control
  • Space vehicle power systems
  • Space vehicle thermal systems
  • Current Secretclearance
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Top Secret securityclearance.
  • Experience with multi-domainmodeling and simulation (air-space and others).
  • Software experience to include:Matlab, C++, Python, STK, Camtasia, SVN, GitHub, AFSIM, and/or Java.
