OverviewSeeking a motivated early- to mid-career professional with a military or DoD civilian background in acquisition, security cooperation, and/or program management to work in a high-visibility role in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This position supports the Directorate of International Cooperation, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, with oversight of the Defense Exportability Features (DEF) Program.LMI is a private government consulting firm, dedicated to advancing the management of the government. We believe government can make a difference, and we seek talented, hardworking people who share that conviction.ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing international acquisition and exportability program review support, including policy analysis, acquisition document reviews, and written technical briefings.Build relationships with the MILDEP representatives on DoD program projects, nominating new programs to the DEF Program, and integrating activities across a wide range of topics and issues.Manage the project execution of Defense Exportability Features (DEF) Program studies and the planning for execution of RDT&E funding;Work closely with the A&S/IC Budget Analyst and other DEF Program points of contact to update DoD budget tracking systems with actual expenditures;Support policy analysis for export policy and technology security and foreign disclosure required actions related to maintaining U.S. technological advantages;Obtain required analytical products that support acquisition and requirements reviews.Help coordinate meeting support for principal attendance at DoD acquisition and security cooperation meetings, and other high-level briefs.Maintain/update program governance documents and standard operating procedures.Support Congressional, GAO, and other outside inquiries.Prepare read-ahead materials for senior leader meetings with industry executives.Provides, supports and complies with a variety of other duties as assigned (e.g., required/contractual training, special projects, proposals, data calls, etc.).QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:BA/BSTwo or more years of combined experience with DoD security cooperation, policy, acquisition program support, or other program management experience.Experience managing the program management and execution.Staff experience working for senior leaders within the DoD, Department of State, or other Federal agency.Command of Microsoft Office Suite in order to produce executive level briefing materials, presentations and point papers.Active SECRET clearance.Additional desired qualifications:Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to review and implement policies and guidance.Program management or contracting experience on major weapon system program office staff desirable.Experience conducting critical qualitative and quantitative data analysis, including designing program evaluation, metrics, or measurement.DAWIA (or industry equivalent) certification in program management, contracting, or systems engineering.Experience employing electronic business tools to facilitate staffing and assist senior leader decision making.Familiarity with the annual DoD budget build process.Master of Public Policy, Public Administration, or similar advanced degree in policy analysis or government administration is a plus.#A&SJob SummaryJob ID: 2020-4601# of Openings: 1
