Our 292-bed hospital offers a full range of healthcare services, with specialties in cancer care-through the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute-as well as inpatient rehabilitation (with all private rooms), our ER is a state-authorized level III trauma center and neuroscience, including our first-in-Richmond Gamma Knife Center. Progressive Care Unit: 36 bed unit Cardiac Monitoring Patient population ranges from acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, COPD exacerbation and other acute conditions Overflow for Oncology, Neuro, Med/Surg, Women's Health and others Units The strong and committed leadership of the unit has developed a cohesive, friendly and supportive team that operates in a \"Live Excellence Culture\" The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA ) will perform care under the direction of the unit Registered Nurse and Nursing Leadership Team. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse. Performs tasks to ensure personal, patient, and departmental safety. Communicates effectively and professionally with customers and presents self in a professional manner. Documents required information according to established guidelines. Functions in an organized and efficient manner. Promotes financial responsibility. Actively participates in performance improvement and educational activities. Supports the goals and objective of the unit/department/organization. Qualifications EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED. Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant Program (required) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing (required) American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care or long-term care facility (preferred) Current enrollment in a professional nurse education program (preferred) HOURS: Full Time Mixed Shifts (days or nights) Rotating weekends and holidays We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
