The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will have responsibilities within the JD program, the online LLM program, scholarship administration, and other duties as assigned. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions must be familiar with the law schools admission requirements, curriculum, and miscellaneous factual data, including but not limited to, faculty/student ratio, costs of attendance, admissions and enrollment statistics, bar passage, residency requirements, and career placement data. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will then use this knowledge to respond to inquiries phone, email, and personal- from prospective students and their families. The Assistant/Associate Director also will provide counseling and tours for prospective students.
The Assistant/Associate Director will assist with organizing and/or attend weekday, evening, and weekend recruiting events, open houses, information sessions, and other events and initiatives. The Assistant/Associate Directors duties will require weekday and weekend overnight travel and travel via airplane and rental car. The Assistant/Associate Director must maintain a valid drivers license and remain eligible to rent cars under George Mason Universitys Office of Risk Management guidelines.
The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will participate in the JD application review process.Online LLM program:
The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will oversee the recruiting of online LLM students by the Universitys online education team and will have primary responsibility for the online LLM application review and admissions process. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will be the primary point of contact for online LLM applicants from application complete to admissions decision and will be expected to assist with the onboarding of the online LLM students each semester.LLM LLM Scholarship Administration:
The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will assist the Assistant Dean for Admissions & Enrollment Management with scholarship administration for incoming and returning students each semester. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will serve as a liaison between the law schools Admissions Office and the universitys Financial Aid Office.
