If this is you, come travel the world in our world!What you ll doAs a Senior Manager on our Global Trade Advisory (GTA) team, you will be part of a team participating in engagements requiring international trade regulatory analysis for a variety of U.S. and global entities and their affiliates. You will work with U.S. and multinational companies, understand national and international trade requirements, and align clients trade function with their business objectives, with the opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies using the latest technologies. Additional responsibilities will include:Helping importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain.Advising U.S. and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies and compliance.Working with clients to assess and potentially automate their international trade management procedures within all major trading regions.Supervising assignments by the GTA professionals serving as Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Managers.Developing and motivating the engagement staff by providing them with leadership, counselling, and career guidance.Assisting Partners, Principals, and Directors with day-to-day operations of practiceThe teamOur Global Trade Advisory practice is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP's International Tax business, and advises U.S. and foreign multinational companies on global import and export strategies, compliance, and trade automation. The Global Trade Advisory practice is composed of attorneys, operations experts, customs brokers, auditors, and trade management professionals who help importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain. The group works with clients to assess and potentially automate their international trade management procedures within all major trading regions.QualificationsRequired8+ years operational experience in export compliance and planning with an in-depth knowledge of and experience with U.S. export regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC, and a working knowledge of non-U.S. export controlBachelor s degree in a business-related fieldU.S. customs broker license, certified U.S export compliance officer, certified ITAR professional, CPA license, or law licenseExperience designing, implementing, and managing export compliance processes and internal controlsFamiliarity with implementing and/or using trade management automation such as SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, MDI, etc., to manage export complianceProject management experience indicating strong organizational, data management, project planning, project execution, and people skills Business management and financial leadership experience indicating strong ability to plan and manage budgets, financials, and operations Experience leading and managing project teamsStrong research, writing, communication, and presentation skills, and detail-orientatedAbility to proactively develop internal and external relationships and effectively speak to export compliance issuesAbility to grow a book of businessA self-starter with the ability to effectively handle multiple, competing prioritiesAptitude in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and VisioAble to travel up to 50%PreferredPrior Big 4 experienceAdvanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLMForeign language skillsConsulting/advisory experienceHow you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
